How did I get
here?
"What I love about therapy is that it’s all about building a relationship, and a good relationship requires a safe space, a sense of direction, and room to grow. Being a counselor is a place where I get to do my favorite things: show compassion, express curiosity, and be always learning."
Why do I do what
I do?
"I grew up believing in being of service to others. I began my career in case management, working with veterans, individuals facing homelessness, and people transitioning from incarceration. Counseling just became the natural next step!"
Who am I outside the
office?
"I love to spend time with my fiance. He’s an avid bowler, and I love to cook and bake; we’ve both become quite fond of each other’s hobbies! We also have two rescue dogs, and I’m an animal lover. I’m passionate about learning new things and making the world a better place - including advocating for social justice. Although I currently live in northern Virginia, I am looking forward to moving closer to my family in the southeast in the next few years. In the meantime, I visit as often as I can!"
