How did I get

"My journey to becoming a therapist started when I was young and obsessed with medicine as an avenue to help others. During college I took classes specifically related to how our environment interacts with physical and mental health. Going into the counseling field was a way for me to combine my passion for helping others with my interest in approaching health issues from a comprehensive standpoint."

Why do I do what
I do?

"When I was a child I remember feeling afraid of therapists. Now, recalling those feelings, I want to allay any and all fears my patients might have. I want to provide an open, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space, an opportunity to speak freely and candidly, and to break the stigma of seeking therapy."

Who am I outside the

"My spouse and I are fairly new to Hampton Roads, and I am new to the east coast entirely. Exploring the area is a pleasure, along with hiking, camping, and bicycling.  We are the proud parents of two rescue pups named Hipper and Halsey, and one very spoiled cat named Vash. When they’re not too busy playing with each other, they all make surprisingly good travel companions, even when packed into a car with two humans."
