How did I get
here?
"I made a vow to myself in high school that I wanted everyone I met to feel beautiful, worthy, and loved, because it was something that I wanted for myself. This mission set the foundation for my 20+ years in the counseling and human services fields. Lately, I have been focused on holistic, mental wellness research and education. However, a piece of my heart was missing, and I knew I had to get back into the therapy room. Finding Coastal Light Counseling was an answered prayer."
Why do I do what
I do?
"My passion is in empowering people to be themselves. It sounds simple, but with life’s pressures and challenges, sometimes we forget who we are. There is no greater gift than that moment when a patient's eyes light up with a genuine smile, because they realize what I saw all along."
Who am I outside the
office?
"Born and raised in Virginia Beach. I love traveling to new places and trying new food. Lately, I’ve been learning more about my motherland, the Philippines, and planning a cultural trip. For self-care, I enjoy writing poetry, hanging out with loved ones, as well as working in my garden. I also love being a human and animal aunt, because you get to play with them and then give them back!"
